We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Marker (BMS/RFID) to join our Shipping  team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately tagging, scanning, and tracking wool bales using handheld devices to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient warehouse operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Writing and arithmetic skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to operate a handheld scanner or tablet
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations (advantageous)

Working conditions

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequent handling and movement around wool bales
• Use of handheld scanners and/or tablets throughout the shift
• Required to work overtime, or shifts depending on operational needs
• Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures typical of a warehouse setting
• Requires wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Key Responsibilities

• Tag and label bales accurately for identification and tracking
• Scan and capture bale information into the system using handheld scanners or tablets
• Ensure correct stowage and movement of bales within the warehouse
• Reassign tags to untagged bales when required
• Report any discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in all data capturing
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required
